Insurance Coverage
Our basic insurance coverage offers protection for the handling and transportation of household items and office contents. This coverage provides a release value of $4.00 per kilogram per item. While our insurance safeguards your belongings during transit, it’s essential to note that certain items are not covered. These include chips on pressboard and particleboard items, glass and mirror items, as well as scratches on walls and hallways. We advise clients to consider additional liability or insurance coverage to safeguard against unforeseen circumstances.
CLAIMS, LIABILITY AND CLIENT INVOLVEMENT
Should you encounter any issues or concerns during your move, we’re here to assist you every step of the way. To initiate a claim, please reach out to us within 15 days after the move or incident date. All claims or complaints must be submitted in written correspondence to ensure clarity and documentation. Rest assured that Movers Cochrane Corp. will acknowledge your claim promptly and strive to resolve it within 30 days from the date it is filed. Our commitment to clients’ satisfaction drives us to address any issues promptly and effectively.
